Welcome to Color Walk

Color Walk is a photography project where we chase colors. It’s pretty simple: we open a session with a range of colour themes, you pick one color, and you go out into the world and capture it.

How It Works

Drop: We open a new "Session.", which includes a deadline and a list of colour themes you can choose from to photograph (for example: red, green, or blue). Occasionally, we add some (wildcard) rules to keep things interesting.

Hunt: Use your camera or phone to capture photos that prominently feature your chosen color in the real world.

Upload: Share your best shots. You have to submit between 7 to 10 photos exactly to publish a gallery. Not 6. Not 11. We automatically display the camera and lens data (EXIF), if available, for each photo so viewers can see how the shot was captured.

Star: When you upload, you'll pick one image to be your "Star" cover photo and write a short story about the shot.

FAQ

How do I join? Color Walk is invite-only. You either need an invite code from a current member, or you can request access on the login page.

Does it have to be shot on a professional camera? No. You can use a DSLR, film camera, or your smart phone. If the photo is good, it belongs here.

Can I edit or color-grade my photos? Absolutely. Crop, adjust, and edit however you want, just make sure the final result fits the your chosen color theme! You can use our built-in editor with presets or your photo editor of choice.

Why only 7 to 10 photos? It forces you to be picky. We want your absolute best shots!
